The mkORA Pay-by-Plate Meter
The mkORA™ pay-by-plate smart meter is MacKay’s latest product designed to bring the power of a multi-space pay station into a more affordable and aesthetic package.
A hybrid of the mkBeacon™ smart meter, the mkORA adds the functionality of Pay-by-Plate enforcement by including a durable alpha-numeric keypad for entering license plate numbers.
The mkORA also includes a revolutionary new housing that fits and secures to an existing meter post, The new tubular housing features two light bars along its sides that light up when the meter is being used. These lights help create a warm lighting effect to help with visibility in poorly lit locations as well as provide a pleasing aura for the street scape.
And best of all, the mkORA is entirely run on solar energy, operating battery neutral with the aid of an efficient, integrated solar panel on the top.

The mkORA™ Lite
The mkORA™ Lite pay-by-plate smart meter is a version of the mkORA that fits onto an existing MKH 4000 Series iron vault. This allows for the continuance of existing vaults, locks and keys while still offering all the power of a pay-by-plate system.
