MacKay Guardian™ X Series Meters
The MacKay Guardian™ X Series parking meters are battery powered meters that support payment by coin or smart card.
They are ideal for locations that see less occupancy, but still need a parking meter to prevent long term parking, or locations where the hourly charge does not warrant a smart meter.
The MacKay Guardian™ X Series meter is a proven technology that continues to work and generate revenue worldwide in some of the harshest environments and weather conditions. They operate with minimal maintenance and the XLE model can run for several years on a single battery pack.
The MacKay Guardian X Series can optionally be supported by Sentinel™ MMS through the use of MacKay GO™, a handheld application that uses an Android smart phone to provide the communications between the X Series meters and Sentinel™ MMS. This allows you to audit the X Series meters for revenue, coin totals and occupancy while also providing the tools to change the rates on each meter.
X Model
• Coin only mechanism.
• SmartChute coin discriminator accepts up to 16 different coins.
• Rear LCD screen and LEDs for enforcement.
• Fits into all MacKay MKH Series housings and all competitor housings.
• Strong zinc-alloy casing.
• Uses an 4 x “AA” or 1 x 9V battery which can potentially last 12 - 24 months.
XL Model
• Coin only or Coin / Smart card mechanism.
• All the features of the X model.
• Smart card can be configured as a token card or a log card.
• Uses an 4 x “AA” or 1 x 9V battery which can potentially last 12 - 24 months.
XLE Model
• Coin only or Coin / Smart card mechanism.
• All the features of the XL model.
• Uses a 2 x “D” battery pack which can potentially last 4 - 6 years.
Free Time Button
The MacKay Guardian X-Series mechanism can be optionally fit with a free time button that will add a fixed amount of free time to the meter for customers who just want to park for a brief amounts of time.
The free time button option is available for the X, XL and XLE models.
